Giving Pharma & Biotech Start-Ups a Leg Up
Posted on February 10th, 2017 by Betsy Davis in Pharma R&D
Many of the greatest innovations in the pharma world today are emerging from start-up biotech firms. Acknowledging and empowering these small-but-mighty companies was the simple idea behind The Hive, Elsevier’s new initiative which provides selected start-ups with access to Elsevier’s R&D Solutions – such as Scopus, ScienceDirect, Embase and more – for them to use in their research. The Hive also provides them an online platform to talk about their progress and to provide more exposure for the companies.
A new feature article in Pharmaceutical Technology spotlights the four companies chosen to participate in the first incarnation of The Hive: Arctic Pharma, Myelo Therapeutics, Reset Therapeutics and Rubius Therapeutics. Each of these start-ups is pursuing its own promising line of research, which is why Elsevier selected them to begin with. And each is finding that being able to use Elsevier’s R&D Solutions is providing great value to their work, whether it’s helping them identify collaborators or providing key information to boost their lab research.
To find out more about how The Hive is helping innovative research, read the article now.
